Towns being Washed Away in Bangladesh

It's getting wet in Bangladesh

The impovished nation of Bangladesh has a new and menacing problem: rising waters are washing away entire villages. While the life giving monsoons and network of rivers in this South Asian country have supported agriculture for centuries, those same waters are now forcing thousands to flee their homes forever. Errosion of riverbanks and rising sea levels mean that entire villages are being forced to move. Villagers are literally taking their communities apart piece by piece. Millions have become refugees in the last decade and tragically, it seems to be getting worse. How weird is that???
